Seven Years | 07:31AM Dec 06, 2007

Tonight’s post will be decidedly short. Not for lack of enthusiasm but simply because there really are no words to describe the feeling of being at ground zero.

I was skeptical of how I would feel exactly, seeing the site that changed America. Once there, though, the sheer scale of destruction overwhelmed me. Seven years later, there really are no signs of the utter chaos that took place on that fateful day. However, when gazing into the massive wound, once can’t help but think back to that day.

Yet, even with the memories of tragedy and terror, the city still pulsed around us, alive with vigor. People bustling, cabs honking, and construction crews pounding away. If New York is America’s heart, then it’s streets are most certainly the veins.
