Once more dear friends | 06:08AM Nov 18, 2007

After watching surfer after surfer don their monochromatic wetsuits, I have to admit it was refreshing to watch these guys prepare their vibrantly colored boats for battle against the surf.

It’s hard to believe that these little boats can sustain such ferocious conditions. However, let me tell you, these guys were somehow able to take wave after wave. Which, from the shore, appeared to be one hell of a pounding. I can only imagine what it was like to be out there with only a paddle for defense.

This was another grab shot, taken while following these two into the sea. I ran this shot through my own personal cross-processing technique, which, conveniently you can read all about in the upcoming issue of Photoshop User. I was chosen to share several of my favorite tips and tricks for the 2007 ‘Hot Tips’ section. After cross processing, I tossed on another curves layer to increase contrast, and then dropped the whole image into a faux film border for added interest.

As always, I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter. So, in the words of famed Fox News host, Bill O’Reilly, feel free to opine.
