Double Take | 08:22AM Aug 08, 2007

Ok, I know what you’re thinking. If I am in the photo, holding my camera, how on earth did I take the photo? The answer is simple, I didn’t. What?! A photo on Mark’s blog that wasn’t taken by Mark!! I know, it’s unorthodox, but have you all known me to be anything but unorthodox?

The honest truth is that I actually like these images, and no not only because I’m in them. I’m a photographer. I am on the wrong side of the lens to be vain.

On our last outing, as an attempt to easy Ryan’s agonizing boredom, I decided to let him use my 10D. As it turns out, he thoroughly enjoyed himself. Capturing some pretty unique images. He certainly made me proud.

Now, Ryan can’t take all the credit, after all it is still my photoblog. The processing here is all me. As I am sure you might have been able to tell. Starting with a HDR from one RAW file, I dropped saturation, added a good deal of contrast in the rocks and water, and as a final touch threw in some cross processing.

Here he is ladies and gentlemen, the photographer at work. Not as glamorous as you might think, is it?
