1936 Vintage | 06:26AM Jul 10, 2007
Since no series is complete without a detail shot, I figured this would be a great image to finish off our abandoned church.
Now, all things considered this is not the most exciting image of the series. However, I feel it really has a lot more to offer than you might think. First of all, if you look really, really, (yes really), closely you will notice that the adult quarterly is dated 1936. Which, in my book, certainly makes it noteworthy. The book of Psalms you ask, copyrighted in 1872. Nothing like arranging pieces of history into still life, especially in a church that hasn’t seen a service in over 30 years.
P.S. check out the literary concoction that Ryan has provided for your reading pleasure over at his blog (residual/Ink).
